The St. John XXIII College Preparatory community has seen an unbelievable outpouring of support over the last week as the damages from Hurricane Harvey are being assessed. At the height of the evacuations, 10%-20% of the students at SJ23 were away from their homes – some don’t even know when they can return. In the midst of this turmoil, the school will do all we can to support the temporal and educational needs over the coming months. Some tangible areas already identified within our community include student textbooks, student lunches, and tuition assistance.
In our efforts to best support our students at SJ23 in Katy, we have established the SJ23 Harvey Relief fund. The fund is created to specifically assist with students and families’ needs as the recovery process begins. The school expects the fund to be used to aid in a wide ranging set of needs, from meals and textbooks to tuition relief and assistance. As more areas of need are uncovered, this fund allows SJ23 to support our students through this difficult process. Thank you for your support.
